It's really cool. I love his face... I've always liked how you've drawn your faces, but I can see improvement from back at CAA all the same. All that black... I dunno what exactly the name would be, but it gives a really neat sort of effect. >.< Can't think of any more words to actually describe it... (it's still morning here; that's probably why). Hm... I guess it highlights the weighted areas of a piece, and helps the areas such as the face and arm to stand out.
One criticism, if you don't mind me offering it: Not sure that the highlighted area on his chest is the right shape. By that I just mean that if it was a different shape, it might give more form to his chest. It still looks good though; the shape draws your attention to the arm holding the sword. ^_^
